Tasty Corner- Snack lover’s delight

Few days ago I visited Tasty Corner which is one of the popular snack joint in South Kolkata.  Being an ex student of South Point this shop is connected to me as an integral part of my school days.  I used to grab a plate Kachuri and sweets from here on way to home from school most of the time.  Tasty corner is much more than just a sweet’s corner and perfect place you can eat delicious Indian snacks and end up with some delicious sweets.

The shop since then has changed to a better decor and added many items to its kitty. It is  located in the bylanes of Ballygunge, close to South Point junior school.  They offer a wide variety of sweets, from enormous rosogulla to yummy goja.

I ate Hing Kachori(Asafetida Flavoured Deep Fried Puris) along with aloo curry or potato gravy. They are too tasty and mindblowing. Finally I ate Jalebi which is also a popular sweet in which crisp deep fried refined flour and yogurt batter spirals dunked in saffron sugar syrup and it tastes yum.

Most of the times the place remains crowded inspite of that their servicing was perfect. Prices were very pocket friendly and food quality was top class.

I had a great time there and snack lovers can give it a try.

  18. Jalabi reminds me of our funnel cakes, here, although funnel cakes aren’t soaked in a syrup and are just dusted with powdered sugar. What a fun time you must have had eating and reliving memories!
